Journey Memories-3

When I arrived at Leipzig Central Train Station, it was around 9 pm. -as you too can see in the picture above- :). The trip from Bochum was pretty good, accompanied by sunset scenes, trees and a cosy atmosphere inside the (BlaBla) car. I counted it as a good start to my Leipzig-Prag journey. I was full of excitement and ready to explore the cities day by day. So did I, indeed. My ex-boyfriend and I planned a trip starting from Leipzig and continuing to Prague. He booked a place on Airbnb in Leipzig. Fortunately, it was a great choice. We met at the train station. While I was checking how I looked on the camera, he came. It was a funny and slightly embarrassing moment; we both laughed. I still vividly remember that moment. How childish and innocent I was; a little, shy and shiny girl :).
Since Manuela, the house owner, was on the walk with her dog, we needed to wait a bit. Luckily, we found a dive bar nearby and ordered two beers :). We were sitting at the bar counter. Since it was Friday, the bar was quite crowded. People were playing darts, chatting and laughing. It was genuinely a cosy place. The bartender asked me to give the beer to the customer playing darts over there. I found it cute and accepted with pleasure. He then asked the same a few more times. I said, "Hey, you should hire me!". I could have accepted it, jk; I liked that place that much. It was a feeling of belonging, even if just for an hour... Such feelings, I understood, can be built through genuine moments, regardless of how brief they are.

After the second beer, we left to go to the house. Manuela welcomed us and brewed tea. The weather was cold those days, and the tea made life nicer ⛄. We talked and talked; she was doing her PhD in Biology (presumably focused on fungi), and she had some interesting, professional-oriented hobbies like growing some unknown plants at home and doing everything homemade. I found it cool. After hours, I left them to practice violin. During my Erasmus time, I used to practise almost every day (I even performed street music during Xmas hehe, that was lovely). Since I was often alone, it gave me great company. My violin teacher was a pretty energetic and polite Mexican guy; he was full of life energy and committed to playing the violin. I practised some songs from the book (the Suzuki method) with Manuela's dog in the room. I have always loved animals' friendships. That was the first day of the trip, finalising with Manuela's warm hospitality.

The day after, my boyfriend got sick. I stayed home with him for a while, though it seemed he wouldn't recover soon. Later, I went to the city centre alone. I do love to roam cities. I really do. So, I walked around, got some chocolate and coffee, and enjoyed the day. I visited a museum and the church where Bach played once upon a time... Bach is one of my favourites, so it was a special enjoyment. Afterwards, Daniel came in the evening. We went to other museums together, the Museum of Fine Arts and the Forum of Contemporary History Leipzig. Shortly after, we caught a Flixbus to Prague. The road was pleasant. It was a good day that warmed my heart in the middle of winter.
This journey has become a cherished memory in time... one to remember with a smile. And it has finally found its place on the blog.
