About Patience
Here is a song from Hümeyra for the beginning.
Not to rush about love has been perfectly expressed in her words:
''Bir köşede durup dinlenir gibi acelesiz ve rahat sevmeyi
Nasıl anlatsam?''
eng. How can I best explain to love somebody in a leisurely and undisturbed mode
as if you are resting in some corner?
After so many years I am learning to be patient about lots of
things. Having gone through countless events, I became a more mature and
patient person. There should be a meaning to bitter experiences, shouldn’t there?
My experiences taught me to wait -if you can- because generally this process brings
valuable and much better results than your expectations. There is something
magical in this. I said generally, because cosmic system doesn't always work in
a good way :). Still, at least trying to be resilient and patient, when bad
things happen or wait for something good to happen, is a wise attitude. It
makes you a contender and gives you an equanimity...
When I was in the first grade of university, I was in love with a boy. Before talking about my feelings, I had once told him that, I was not a patient person. I wouldn’t even wait to make Turkish coffee properly (an explanation for those who don't know, it takes time to make it). Such big words... Oh God.. how many things happened after that, I had to wait... Now writing about this topic, I noticed I had used this kind of sentence in one of my poems, I had written two years ago: ''If I had had time, I could have learned to wait.''. :D I can't help laughing. These sentences are totally from a young and foolhardy girl who doesn't know a thing about life. To be sure, to find yourself, your way, your mission in life, your better half, to make a cake, to be able to see a seed grow and bloom, it all takes time. It takes a long time... Waiting for a valuable thing to brew, takes time and makes you stronger personally. So, let’s see what happens, if we wait. :))
P.S. An adult Caretta Caretta lays about 120 eggs into each nest. It is estimated that out of 1000 turtles only one Caretta Caretta can survive and reach adulthood (25-30 years old).
Every time I look at this photo, I wonder if this turtle is successful in it struggle to survive in the sea.
Thank you for reminding the feeling of loving somebody in a leisurely and undisturbed mode as if you are resting in some corner. The song from Hümeyra and this post was the point which I waited for making comment with 'patience' :)
